Dortmund Triumphs in Freiburg, Frankfurt Stuns Real Madrid
Borussia Dortmund grabbed hold of fourth place in the Bundesliga standings with a 3-0 away victory over SC Freiburg on Sunday evening.
Erling Haaland continued his impressive scoring streak with a brace, while Julian Brandt added another to seal the victory. Dortmund's win puts them one point ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt, who sit in fifth place.
Frankfurt pulled off a stunning 3-1 upset over Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday. Luka Jovic scored twice for Frankfurt, while Karim Benzema scored Madrid's only goal.
In other Bundesliga action, Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the table to six points with a 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Robert Lewandowski scored twice for Bayern, while James Rodriguez and Leon Goretzka also found the back of the net.
RB Leipzig stayed in touch with Bayern with a 2-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach. Willi Orban and Christopher Nkunku scored for Leipzig, while Lars Stindl replied for Gladbach.
