Dublin, Ireland - Atalanta have made history by becoming the first Italian team to win the Europa League since the tournament replaced the old UEFA Cup. The Bergamo-based club defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in a thrilling final on Wednesday night.
Ademola Lookman Hat-Trick
Ademola Lookman was the hero for Atalanta, scoring a stunning hat-trick. The English winger opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a low drive into the bottom corner. He doubled Atalanta's lead in the 59th minute with a header from a corner kick.
Lookman completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute with a brilliant solo effort. He picked up the ball on the left wing and dribbled past three Leverkusen defenders before slotting home a low shot.
