Irish singer pays tribute to her father after his death

Samantha Mumba has said not only has 2020 been an awful year but it’s been “horrendous” for her.

The singer has paid tribute to her father Peter Omero Mumba, who passed away last year.

In an emotional Instagram post, Samantha said her father was “the best father a girl could ask for”.

“I am so grateful for all the memories we shared together,” she wrote.

“You were always there for me, no matter what.”

Samantha said her father was a “kind and loving man” who always made her laugh.

“I will never forget you,” she said.

Samantha’s father passed away in December 2020. He was 68 years old.

The singer has previously spoken about her close relationship with her father.

In a 2018 interview, she said: “My dad is my best friend. He’s always been there for me, through thick and thin.”

Samantha’s father was a musician and singer. He was a member of the band The Pioneers.

Samantha said her father’s music was a big influence on her own music career.

“I grew up listening to his music,” she said.

“He was a great singer and I always wanted to be like him.”

Samantha is one of Ireland’s most successful singers.

She has released three albums and has had several hit singles, including “Gotta Tell You” and “Baby Come Over”.

Samantha has also appeared in several films and television shows.

She is married to Torray Scales and they have two children.
